Training
Spirit Electric was formed in 2009, as a pertnership between Cherokee Tribal Member, Mr. Rollin (Adair) Johnson and Mr. Bart Colburn. As a member of the Cherokee Nation and proud member of the Cherokee Adair family, it is the goal of Rollin to honor his ancestors through training and development of Native American youth in the electrical and maintenance trades. This includes preference in hiring, per law, of Native Americans for all projects under the Spirit Electric Banner. As a Native American owned business, it is our mission to recruit and employ Native Americans in the electrical construction industry.

Hiring
As required by Native American Nations, preference is given to Native Americans on associated projects.  In some cases, Native Americans are not available, requiring us to hire individuals based on federal and state regulations, and per project and technical certification requirements as set forth by local and national regulations and codes.
